All AC power
operated electrical equipment must incorporate a minimum of required
safety features to protect against personal injury and property loss.
These amplifiers meet or exceed all safety requirements only when
used properly.
The safety features incorporated in our amplifiers are:
1. The power supplies are 100% line
isolated using separate power transformers for the DC plate power supply and
the vacuum tube filament supply. 2. A 1500 Volt AC HI-POT test is performed on every
finished unit to
ensure good electrical insulation integrity of the completed product.
Prior to installation, all transformers, power and audio output are
individually HI-POT tested also at 1500 Volts AC to verify their
insulation ratings.
3. The steel chassis is directly connected to the AC Line Ground (only when connected to a properly wired AC
receptacle) and incorporates the use of an IEC AC power inlet
socket and a removable three wire IEC
power cord.
4. All AC power supply components including the power cord, AC inlet
socket, fusing, wiring, switches and all transformers
are UL and/or CSA rated and approved.
5. All components are conservatively operated well less than the manufacturer’s
specified maximum ratings. Some components by very high percentages less than the
given ratings.
6. The chassis' incorporate an engineered convection air ventilation system to
provide maximum cooling for all components including transformers and vacuum tubes.
7. All tubes and heat dissipating components are well spaced and are
strategically located to
provide maximum air flow for cooling. 8. Comprehensive product
labeling indicates all required ratings, warnings, fuse ratings,
tube types and locations, and all pertinent name plate information and
ratings. 9. A complete detailed Owner's
Manual is provided to further describe safe and proper use, care and precautions. |
