Here are my thoughts on the amp you built for me.
I received my Ideal Innovations 6B4G Convertable Amp several weeks ago and would like to share my thoughts about it and Syd.
I contacted Syd by email about the possibility of his building a Push Pull 6B4G DHT amp for me. He was very enthusiastic about it and even started testing the idea on his Test Rig before I ever contracted him to build it.
Syd built a wonderfully versatile amp for me. It will run 6B4G Output Triodes and almost every member of the EL34 and 6L6 family of Power Output Pentodes with no changes except flipping a switch.
I believe this amp used with 6B4G's is the finest performing Push Pull tube amp I have ever heard. It is really pure magic and no other amp comes close in my opinion.

| Comments: I liked the sonic qualitys of my stereo 45 so much, I purchased another one. They're built like German Tiger Tanks! The Ideal innovations Amplifiers are in my opinion, the best amplifier for the money available today. After months of comparing products(even Asian), when you compare sound quality, build sturdiness, and price, you will love Ideal Innovations and Syd Beaumont! |

Comments: Hi all,
I've had my Custom-60 for about 2 months now. I am totally impressed. It's a huge improvement over
my previous amp, a NAD C270. I've played around with a few different combinations of tubes and have found that the EH12AX7 and Valve Art KT100's work very driving my Audio Note AN-K Spe speakers.
The sound is smooth, with wonderfull dynamics for Jazz, enough low end power to really drive Rock and has enough detail to make Symphonies a real experience.
Syd's service and support is unbeatable. The build quality is excellent. I love owning hand-built things and I think the care and pleasure of the builder for their work really comes through in the end. |
