Comments: Two weeks ago I received my Custom 30 amp. It sounds gorgeous! I have had a number of tube amps in the past and wanted the liquid, spacious sound again. I got it and more with my Custom 30. The midrange is lush but the top end is not rolled off. It has all of sparkle I like. The bass is not mushy but well defined. Build quality is outstanding. The Custom 30 is a large, solid amp that I'm sure will last a lifetime. What impressed me most about dealing with Ideal Inov. was the no hassle/low cost of adding options. I had Syd put in a sub woofer out jack, a front headphone jack, and a selector switch with two inputs for two different sources. Syd loves doing custom work.

The price was ridiculously low for such a great amp. If you want a great tube amp look no further.

Thanks Syd!

Comments: I too am amazed at the quality of work that Syd produces, both visually and sonically, at an incredible price. I received my Custom 60 about 3 weeks ago. It is fed with a Marantz CC3000 CD player and a vintage 1973 Marantz 2270 receiver used as a tuner), coupled with Axiom M3Ti speakers (soon to be replaced with a set of restored vintage 1968 AR 3a's).
The depth and clarity of the frequency range is incredible, bringing out details of instruments and background vocals that I had never heard on several CD's before.
The build construction is awesome and beautiful in it's simplicity (high "Wife Acceptance Factor), as is the circuitry. Amplifiers are one thing where less is more, just enough to get the sound reproduced accurately and powerfully. There's no need to muddy the sound path up with unneeded components or pseudoscience to drive the profit margins up. Syd's design is an admirable one from every standpoint.
Prebuild conversations with Syd displayed his deep knowledge of the subject, coupled with his sincere concern that I received exactly what I was looking for (even if I didn't always know what that was until he clarified several thing for me).
The standard comment from people that see the amplifier for the first time is "Oh, WOW that's cool". Then upon hearing it, they all get that little smile on their face and nod their heads with approval. Or as my dear wife of 10 years said about the amp to me...Well!, I remember when you used to look at me like that!
Thanks so much Syd.

Comments: I am simply amazed at the quality of the work that Syd produces. I had an amplifier custom built for me. It is a 3 channel 30 WPC, 6L6 based amp. I use it to power my front left, front right, and center channels for my surround sound system. I also use it for basic stereo music. The amp is beautiful, the craftsmanship amazing. The sound is perfect, bass reproduction is excellent. I have never heard a better sounding tube amplifier. I will be buying more of these fine products. You cannot go wrong. If anyone lives in the Washington DC metro are and would like to hear the amp, please email me and bring over a cd or dvd and give it a listen. You will become a customer shortly therafter. Email me if you want to know more. I will soon be putting pictures of the amp on my website. Check back in a few days.
